As Grad Day nears, you’ve got a lot to be proud of. If you’re being recognized as a valedictorian, congrats! But if you’re not, the fact that you’re graduating high school is a huge accomplishment to celebrate!

And if you don’t believe me, take these numbers into consideration:

  • More than 70% of high school students go to school with more than 1,000 students.
  • In the 35 largest cities, fewer than 50% of 9th graders complete high school.
  • 69% of all high school students graduate.

Judging by those statistics, which were graciously presented by the National High School Alliance, your high school diploma represents the fact that you have out-performed a lot of kids. It also tells you that you committed yourself to seeing something all the way through, and that’s not an easy thing to do.

With so many possible holes you can fall into outside of school, you and your peers have a lot of reasons to stray from the beaten path to success; a path that starts with finishing high school. But now that you’ve got this diploma in your hands, you’ve shown yourself that you can do anything you put your mind to.

At Dormbuys, we’re proud of you for putting in the time and achieving your goal, and hope that college is on your list of the to-accomplish. Along with establishing itself as another goal on your radar, college also presents you with an opportunity to figure out how you’re going to rule the real world. Are you going to learn how to run a business? Are you going to work towards an art that you’ve always been passionate about? Are you going to meet life-long friends?

Plenty of choices lie ahead of you, and we’re excited that we’ve got the opportunity to help you out in any way you see fit.

But for now, don’t look too far ahead. Enjoy the on-coming moments that you’ve worked so hard to earn. ‘Cause no doubt, college will come in due time. And it’ll give you one more goal to accomplish; a new goal that, in a few years, you’ll be looking back on with pride, knowing that you can continually accomplish anything you want to.
